For nearly 90 years, the Texas Oil and Gas Association (TXOGA) has recognized high-impact, industry leaders with the Distinguished Service Award, celebrating their grit, determination, and forward-thinking mentality. CEO John J. Christmann IV was given this year’s award at the Lone Star Energy Forum in Frisco, Texas, for his more than three decades of service to furthering oil and gas development in Texas and abroad.
“I have been impressed daily by the exceptional team at APA ever since I joined the company in 1997, and I am reminded of the incredible journey I’ve had because of the mentors and leaders who have surrounded me,” Christmann said. “I am excited about the opportunities ahead and our continued efforts to meet the world’s energy needs through the responsible production of oil and natural gas.”
Joining the ranks of TXOGA honorees
TXOGA’s Distinguished Service Award is one of the oldest and most prestigious honors bestowed on members of our industry. Since 1936, the awardees have been chosen by industry leaders for their extraordinary contributions to the oil and natural gas industry and to the nation.
“Efficient and resilient management, combined with tactical planning and thoughtful decision-making, have cemented John’s position as a visionary leader whose contributions have made our state, nation, and world cleaner, stronger, and better,” said TXOGA President Todd Staples. “He joins an exceptionally talented group of leaders by joining the ranks of previous Distinguished Service Award recipients and we congratulate him on this well-deserved honor.”
