Apache Corporation and the Ibrahim A. Badran Foundation (IBF) have expanded their ongoing collaboration with the inauguration of a specialized clinic in Egypt’s Matrouh Governorate. This inauguration marks a milestone in their shared mission to deliver sustainable health care to underserved communities.
The clinic represents the latest achievement in a two-year collaboration between Apache and IBF. Over that time, the partnership has delivered medical services to more than 21,000 beneficiaries in the region by organizing 10 medical convoys, 26 mobile clinic operation days, 8,632 preventive health awareness sessions and performing 66 surgeries.
The new clinic offers a range of medical departments to provide high-quality diagnostic and treatment services, alongside community awareness programs designed to promote prevention and public health. Its inauguration signals the beginning of the third year of partnership, ensuring sustainable, year-round access to health care for the people of Matrouh and strengthening the Foundation’s wider mission to expand services across Egypt.
“What began as a mobile humanitarian initiative has today evolved into a fully equipped clinic offering specialized and sustainable medical services, a testament to our shared belief with Apache that serving humanity comes first,” said Ola Esmail, CEO of the Ibrahim A. Badran Foundation.
“Apache Corporation is honored to continue our partnership with the IBF. The opening of this new facility is a real testament to the vision and dedication of the IBF team to make a difference to the health and well-being of the community today and for future generations,” said Chris Monk, deputy country manager, Apache Corporation’s Egypt Asset. “Empowering remote communities with accessible health care is not just a commitment, it is a beacon of hope.”
The Matrouh Clinic embodies IBF’s commitment to reaching the most vulnerable with essential health care, achieved through partnerships with organizations that champion sustainability in both charitable and medical efforts.
