Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we are highlighting employees who help contribute to our success.

Lily, Operations Administrator

Lily joined Apache four years ago and provides operational support to help minimize the administrative workload for all departments. In her role, she enjoys interacting with employees in the field.

One of the projects she has enjoyed working on is the Altus empowered employee committee. The committee is composed of employees working to recognize hazards, hardships and issues from the field perspective. They meet monthly to review safety concerns of the field employees and help identify solutions for them to work safely. For example, they found an issue where more protective eyewear was needed to assist with glare in the field. The committee recommended purchasing polarized safety glasses for all field employees.

Outside of the office, Lilly loves spending time with her family including her grandchildren. She also enjoys playing golf and hates to miss a day at the gym.

Marco, U.S. Onshore Surface Land Manager

Marco began his career with Apache more than six years ago. As a surface land manager, he oversees a team that drafts agreements to acquire surface rights for well pad locations, pipelines, road easements, water and permits with government and private agencies. This supports the asset teams in maintaining drilling and completions schedules. In his role, he also supports our environmental efforts by working to establish recycling facilities allowing the teams in the field to use recycled water for completions operations limiting our freshwater usage.

When asked what motivates him every day, Marco responded “the variety of daily tasks, whether it’s engaging with landowners or managing schedule changes while establishing our proposed infrastructure.”

Marco loves spending time with his family and friends, hunting, listening to music and attempting to play golf.
