This November, Apache employees delivered 200 first aid kits and 400 fire extinguishers to Springboard schools in the Egyptian governorates of Fayoum, Giza and Minya.
“Providing these kits and fire extinguishers was a wonderful way for us to ensure a safe environment for teachers to work and students to learn,” said Egypt- based Ahmed, Apache’s supervisor of community partnerships. A big part of Ahmed’s job is making sure the 201 schools Apache has built since 2015 are well maintained and able to serve these girls and their communities in rural Egypt. Since their inception, the schools have enabled 15,000 girls to read and write. “It was great to continue supporting Springboard schools in one of our main focus areas this year: safety,” continued Ahmed.
In addition to the safety equipment, the Apache teams delivered coloring books and pencils and shared the importance of health and safety with the students.
The project was supported by Apache employees from security, supply chain and environment, health and safety.
