Apache is partnering with the British Divers Marine Life Rescue…
With teams across the U.K., BDMLR leads the rescue and rehabilitation of countless marine animals, including seals, dolphins and whales, across the U.K.’s coastline. The charity’s work also encompasses education and training to foster a deeper understanding of marine ecosystems.
Apache’s sponsorship provides critical support for BDMLR’s ongoing rescue operations through the funding of additional protective equipment for responders and the provision of three trailers to store critical rescue equipment at locations across Scotland and England. This helps rescue teams respond more quickly and efficiently to the needs of marine animals.
Apache’s donation also supports the organization’s seal hospital in Cornwall, ensuring a supply of fish for convalescing seal pups.
“We work every day to reduce our environmental footprint, enhance the safety of our operations and partner with our communities to create long-lasting value,” said Jillian Owen, Apache’s U.K. Country Manager. “Protecting species and their habitats in the areas where we operate is a priority for Apache and our biodiversity and environmental stewardship commitments. The BDMLR and their volunteers do incredible work every day to protect our marine life, and we are proud to support their rescue operations across the U.K.”
“BDMLR is delighted to accept this meaningful donation to help provide the very best rescue service possible for marine wildlife. The trailers will help us transport vital rescue equipment quickly and efficiently to areas where it is needed,” said BDMLR Chairman, Alan Knight OBE.
